Introduction:
Our victory day is a great achievement for us. The 16th of December is a red-letter hours of day in the chronicles of Bangladesh. After fighting for about nine months we snatched our independence from the Pakistani Army. This victory was a victory of right neighboring-door to wrong. So this day is a red-letter daylight in our national archives. We should remember and observe this day with great fervor, festivity, and enthusiasm. On this day, we also take the oath to preserve our freedom.
Pre-history:
From 1947 to 1971 Bangladesh deprivation of due political, economic, administrative, etc. Especially, privileges were the root cause of discontentment and resentment of the Bangalees against the ruling West Pakistani leaders. In 1970, the Awami League came out victorious discomfiting the ruling Muslim League. In that election, Awami League achieved a majority in the parliament. But West Pakistan did not recognize the elected East-Pakistan leaders. On the mid-night of March 25 in 1971, the Pakistani forces launched an attack on the innocent and sleeping Bengalees under the operation searchlight. But the valiant sons of this country stood against the Pakistani forces because of their barbarous attack. On March 26 Bangladesh declared independence and appeal to the co-hole international nations. After nine months of the war at last the commander of the Eastern Command of the Pakistani Army in Bangladesh was asked by the chief of staff of Indian Armed forces to make an unconditional surrender to the Mukti Bahini and the Allied Forces. The terms and conditions of surrender were settled by a representative of the Allied forces. The Instrument of Surrender was signed by A.A.K. Niazion the 16th December 1971 at the historic Dhaka Race Course Maidan,
Observation of the day:
Every year the Government's various organizations and institutions take elaborate programs to celebrate the day in a befitting manner. The national flag is hoisted in all important offices. buildings, institutions, and shops. All important places are tastefully decorated. Meeting and seminars are held to explain the importance of the day. On this day we pay uric tributes to the memory of the martyrs who laid down their lives for the sake of our independence. So name you will all of us recall the sparkle of the victory and announce to establish just laws in the country to construct it as a country which rightly be called 'Sonar Bangla'.
The glory of the day:
The victory day always reminds us of the heroic sacrifices of our sons. The day is a clear warning to the oppressors that people's rights can never be neglected for long and it is certain that oppresses will always be defeated. The day also signifies our patriotism, our affection, and love for the country.
Conclusion:
In the whole world we are proud that our victory day is our greatest achievement. We have a country, a flag, an identity, and an invaluable treasure through this victory. We must believe the oath regarding victory hours of hours of day that we will make our country independent in all respects. In the actual sense of the term, our victory day is a great achievement for us. We should respect the day properly
