The Importance of Learning Quran

The importance of learning holy Quran every day is very important. To discuss this, at first we must know what the Quran is. The Quran is a heavenly book. The holy book was reveled to the prophet Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) through the messenger Jibreel (peace be upon him) for a long period of 23 years.

Highlighting the importance of the holy Quran, Allah the almighty said to his messenger Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him).

“إِنَّا سَنُلْقِي عَلَيْكَ قَوْلًا ثَقِيلًا” “I have revealed to you an important message”(Surah Muzammil: Verse 5).

In this verse, Allah the almighty is referring the importance message – it (Quran) is so important that no power in the world has the power to change, correct or transfer a word or letter. And it is by no means possible.

The most beautiful words of the holy Quran have been remaining completely intact for the last 1500 years and will remain so till the day of resurrection. The certainty of  the Quran has been declared by Allah in the Quran as follows:

“إِنَّا سَنُلْقِي عَلَيْكَ قَوْلًا ثَقِيلًا” “Surely I myself have sent the book, and I am the guardian of it.

The world prominent philosopher named Bosworth Smith wrote in his book “Muhammad and Muhammadanism”:  “ The Quran contains the exact words of Muhammad (peace be upon him) without any addition, subtraction or beyond all possible doubts”.

The almighty Allah has revealed to us the most beautiful holy book Al-Quran in this way—  “ذَلِكَ الْكِتَابُ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيهِ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ”  “It is the book where is no doubt. A guaide for the righteous” (Sura Al-Baqarah: Verse 2).

Man is the subject of the Quran. And the purpose of human creation has also been described in this book. Allah says: “وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ َِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ”  “I have created the man and Jinn to worship me”. (Surah Jariyat: Verse 58).

In this verse, the issue of worshiping Allah as the ultimate purpose of human creation has been described. And the meaning of this act of worship is not only to prostrate before Allah but also to gain the attributes of Allah according to the teachings of holy Quran. So that man can truly represent Allah in this world.

Proper learning and practice of Al-Quran and taking it in heart and implementing its sacred teaching properly and correctly. Because, there are all interests and activities of human life and the solution of all the problems in the world and in the hereafter. That is why Quran is called “the complete code of life”.

Therefore, the believing Muslim should, in the proper implementation of the purpose of the creation of mankind, acquire purity from all external and internal aspects, reflecting on his life by practicing, studying and reciting the divine book Al-Quran in his heart every day
